Joel Siegel – Business Consulting

Joel L. Siegel Ph.D. brings a broad range of skills honed over 25 years as an business consultant and executive leadership services provider, hospital administrator, psychologist, business entrepreneur and music producer in service to his clients.  His success in these professional roles has allowed him to understand what makes a successful person, a rewarding project, and a profitable corporation.  He understands the big picture challenges that individuals, CEOs, corporate managers and family business owners alike face, and is comfortable using his skill sets to both confront and support them on their journey to higher achievement and profitability.

Currently Joel is principal at Joel L. Siegel Ph.D./APC “an executive leadership services company” which specializes in executive leadership services, family owned business consultation, CEO, C-suite level executive coaching and corporate mediation.  Specifically some of the leadership services that Joel regularly delivers to the companies with whom he works include: C-suite coaching, profitability coaching, talent acquisition, mid-management leadership development, capital acquisition as well as bringing his media expertise to marketing initiatives. Another area of Joel’s professional specialization is executive transitions Joel works with mid-career professionals who are changing positions or moving to another industry to help them successfully conceptualize, understand and complete this complex process.

For family owned or closely held companies Joel works with the founder generation on sustaining profitability and developing family council governance, as well as with the younger generation of family executives on a diverse range of issues including corporate roles, next generation business plan, sibling corporate roles, family compensation and many others..  Joel also conducts corporate mediations and partners in this with a female mediator and an attorney.

Previously Joel was a corporate executive with Samissa Health Care, the nation’s largest psychiatric corporation, and a clinical administrator at Rancho Park Hospital, Alvarado Parkway Institute, and Charter Hospital of San Diego.  Joel was the first psychologist named to sit on the executive committee of a California hospital. He developed the co-therapy model of inpatient psychiatric care.  Currently he is a member of Professional Coaches, Mentors and Advisors; the International Coach Federation; STAR San Diego and SDPTeam.  Joel received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, his Master of Arts from the United States International University, and his Ph.D. from the United States International University.
