Gary L. Eastman – Registered Patent Attorney

Gary L. Eastman is a Registered Patent Attorney that establishes protection of intellectual property rights (patent, trademark and copyright), and litigation involving intellectual property disputes and associated business issues.

Gary has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University, and a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. Over the past 25 years, Gary has provided counseling to start up, emerging technology companies, and established tech-sector businesses with an emphasis on the development of strong intellectual property portfolios. In addition, Gary forms appropriate business entities, brings awareness of owner, management and employee issues, and establishes an early strategy for achieving business goals.

Gary specializes in the identification, preparation and submission of United States and International Patent, Trademark, and Copyright applications; counseling start up and emerging technology companies on the strategies and policies required to build a solid intellectual property portfolio and the steps to protect the company assets from threats both external and internal to the business. When necessary, lawsuits are brought for patent, trademark and copyright infringement, defense of trade secret violations, as well as handling Federal Trademark Oppositions and Cancellations in the Trademark Office (TTAB), and other business related issues.
