Christina Semmer – Employment Lawyer (Management-Side)

Christina is an experienced employment litigator, advisor, and problem-solver at GBG LLP, a women-owned law firm. She represents employers throughout California in litigation, e.g., defending her clients against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and alleged wage and hour violations. She also provides employment law advice and counsel to help her clients avoid and reduce litigation and liability risk. Christina regularly counsels clients on issues including employee discipline and termination, leaves of absence, and reasonable accommodations.
A San Diego native, Christina attended college and law school in the Midwest. She graduated with a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2005 and received her law degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri in 2009. In law school, Christina was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Dispute Resolution, one of the leading legal publications in the area of alternative dispute resolution – dispute resolution being a skill Christina has honed over a lifetime with four siblings and two (now-retired) attorney-parents.
Christina is proud to serve on the Board of North Park Main Street, which is both a business improvement district established by the City of San Diego, and a Main Street program affiliated with the National Trust for Historic Preservation. NPMS champions development that preserves the community’s historic integrity; supports arts, culture and entertainment; and promotes an urban, pedestrian-friendly shopping and dining environment.
